Donna E. Williams has been a writer and freelance and in-house editor for over thirty years. She is a past managing editor of Toronto Life Fashion, and over the years has worked with clients including Toronto Life, the Royal Ontario Museum, TVOntario, the CBC, Inuit Art Quarterly, Heritage Toronto, and Macmillan Canada.
Donna returned to the University of Toronto in 2005 and completed an M.A. in history. Hardscrabble: The High Cost of Free Land is based on her master's thesis. She lives in Toronto.
